Owned and managed by Tina and Mehernosh Daroowalla,
this trendsetting Indian Bistro was established in 1999,
and is located in downtown Hoboken, NJ.
A modern Indian restaurant that is deeply rooted in tradition,
Karma Kafe. has been greatly appreciated for being innovative and daring,
and for exploring the unique flavors of regional India.
This exploration led the Daroowallas to revisit their own roots.
Mehernosh brought in old family recipes
and began experimenting with Parsi dishes,
for small groups and personal gatherings.
Word spread and Karma Kafe.
became the go-to caterer for many important
Parsi functions in the tri-state area as well as ZAGNY
events and private Parsi functions.
In the Spring of 2016, Karma Kafe had the great honor of
catering the prestigious Inauguration Luncheon for 400 people,
to celebrate the opening of the Dar-e-Mehr Zoroastrian Temple in Suffern, NY.
In July 2016, Karma Kafe. catered a
Grand Parsi Luncheon
for Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar,
to celebrate the launch of his new film “Rustom”,
based on the life of Parsi naval officer Rustom Pavri.
